Lathrop Lady Mules Softball Team Opens Season with Win

The Lathrop Lady Mules opened the high school softball season on Wednesday afternoon with an 11 to 8 victory over the Savannah Savages.   Katie Slibowski started the game for the Mules in the circle.  Jamie Bullock came in to pitch in the fourth inning with no outs and bases loaded and finished out the game, allowing only one run the rest of the way.  Bullock picked up the win for the Lady Mules.

 

Offensively, Lathrop was led by Sophomore Janelle Saling, who went 4 for 4 (all doubles) and had seven RBI.  Sophomore Jamie Bullock went 3 for 4 in the game with 3 RBI, Junior Katie Slibowski went 2 for 4 with an RBI and Sophomore Lacy Bishop went 2 for 4.

 

The Lady Mules' next game is August 28th versus the Maysville Wolverines in Lathrop at 5:30 p.m.
